A Living Archive — Documented Step by Step

Historical photographs of Georgia and the Caucasus, from the 1840s to the 1930s, drawn from Giorgi Gersamia’s legacy and the research of the original Photomuseum. Each is presented with its source and context, as far as these are known.

Photographs are added as they are identified, documented and cleared for publication.
The collections will grow and change as this work continues.

Giorgi’s own photographs — film negatives from the 1960s and his later digital work — have not yet been inventoried. Documenting them, together with the photographs he collected, is the Association’s current priority.
Some collections remain available on the legacy museum website.
